Calls for ban on Glasgow gig by 'kill MPs' rappers

PRESSURE is growing for music festival bosses to pull the plug on a Scottish performance by Irish rap group Kneecap after video footage emerged of them appearing to call for MPs to be killed.

The controversial trio are set to perform at the TRNSMT festival in Glasgow on Friday, July 11.

The band have become notorious for pro-IRA messaging and also sparked fury in the USA due to their Coachella festival appearance where they beamed allegedly anti-Israel messages to the crowd.

Video emerged on Friday of a band member apparently urging fans to “kill your local MP”.

Clips from a London gig in 2023 resurfaced which showed a band member claiming that “the only good Tory is a dead Tory.”

Conservative MP Sir David Amess was murdered in 2021 at a meeting event with constituents.

Labour MP Jo Cox was out and about on constituency work when she was murdered in 2016.
