City festive lights switched on

The city's festive season was opened on Friday evening with a spectacular fireworks display and lots of entertainment when the festive lights at the Civic Centre Park were switched on by the CEO the PSL, Mato Madlala, assisted by Mayor John Mpe.

Mpe welcomed residents and guests and delivered a message of hope.

"Tonight, as the lights brighten the Civic Centre Park and illuminate screens across our city, we gather here to switch on a season of hope, unity and renewed purpose for every resident of Polokwane and a visitor in Polokwane," he said.

"The festive season is a moment of reflection, gratitude and recommitment. It invites us to pause and appreciate how far we have come, even in a year marked by challenges, growth and new opportunities. But more importantly, it invites us to ask: What kind of future are we building together?".

According to Mpe, this year, Polokwane has stood tall.
