Man to hear in court of his future with woman

A Paisley man will today learn if he is allowed to contact the woman he is engaged to.

Henry Morton appeared in the dock for sentencing yesterday but Paisley Sheriff Court was unable to seek the views of the female Morton admitted he had threatened to "slash".

Sheriff Sukhwinder Gill deferred sentencing until today to allow the Crown to seek the woman's thoughts - stating it was "very important" these were considered.

The procurator fiscal told the town's court the couple's relationship began just four weeks prior to the incident which occurred on August 8.

He explained: “Around 6.45pm both the accused and the woman were within the accused's home address, in Auchentorlie Quadrant, when a verbal argument took place.
