PM to unveil Rs 2200-cr development Projects in Varanasi today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate projects worth about Rs 2,200 crore during his visit to his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi on August 2.

The projects span sectors like infrastructure, tourism, education, healthcare, urban development, and heritage conservation. A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office said that among the key highlights are road upgrades across rural and urban corridors, railway overbridges, and major works under the Smart Distribution Project to strengthen the region’s power infrastructure worth over Rs 880 crore. To boost tourism and cultural heritage, the PM will inaugurate redevelopment works at eight riverfront ghats and Kalika Dham, as well as launch projects for preserving historic kunds
