Uddhav-led Shiv Sena to protest India-Pakistan cricket match at Asia Cup

The Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena plans to protest the scheduled India-Pakistan cricket match at the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 in Dubai, party MP and chief spokesperson Sanjay Raut told media persons here today.

The highly anticipated match, organised by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), is scheduled for September 14. The two rivals could meet as many as three times if they progress to the Super 4 stage and the final. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is a regional administrative body for cricket in Asia, subordinate to the International Cricket Council (ICC) and formerly headed by Jay Shah, the son of union Minister Amit Shah. The Shiv Sena's women's wing will launch a 'My Kumkum My Country’ movement against the matches, Raut said.
