'No defects' road to be patched up

AN 80-YEAR-OLD branded a road “the worst he has ever seen it” as he called on Nottingham City Council to repair it.
Trevor Lovell, who has lived in Thorneywood since the 1970s, claims he has to swerve from side-to-side to avoid bumps and holes in the surface during his daily drive along Carlton Road.
After reporting the problem to the council, he said highways team inspected the road and said there were no defects.
But after the Post contacted the council, it said it would carry out repairs this month.
