Man stabbed his stepdad after taking drugs he bought online

A 40-YEAR-OLD man walked into his mother and stepfather’s bedroom and calmly stabbed the man in the arm while high on drugs he'd bought over the internet.
Nottingham Crown Court heard how James Goral told the victim “she told me to do it” when asked what he'd done.
When police arrived, they found the defendant quietly sitting in his bedroom where he told them they would find the knife he'd used either there or in the kitchen.
In a statement, his stepfather said he would “welcome him back" if he got the mental health help he needed.
Jailing him for 20 months, Judge James Sampson said: “Drugs blight lives, destroy families and cause crime and you are the living embodiment of all that.
“Without your drug addiction and misuse of drugs you would not have committed this crime, I have no doubt of that.
“On that evening your drug use induced some form of psychosis and when you take illicit drugs that puts you in a volatile mood.
“You stabbed your stepfather in his arm in his own home, somewhere he should feel safe.
