Date set for return of city's beach - with a 'few surprises' in store

AS temperatures warm up it will soon be time to pack the buckets and spades for the return of Nottingham Beach.
The annual attraction, which fills Old Market Square with sand and seaside vibes, will open just before the schools break up for summer.
The official opening day is Wednesday, July 15.
"Expect sun, sand, games and seaside favourites - plus a few new surprises for 2026," said organisers, the Mellors Group.
