NOTTINGHAM'S tram operator has slammed a dangerous TikTok trend which involves people clinging to their vehicles while travelling through the city.

NET says the practice could cause death or serious injury after the Post sent them footage of the latest incident involving a child.

The video shows a child in school uniform with a black face covering holding on to the back of a tram travelling past the Hyson Green Market tram stop on Thursday.

The child cannot be identified in the video and the Post is choosing to share the footage to highlight the serious public safety issue the TikTok trend is creating across the city.

The incident was captured by a car passenger.
