How prayer can help us through life's ‘eruptions'

Nottingham Post

MOUNT Etna, a volcano on the east coast of Sicily, erupted last week, spewing towering plumes of sulphurous smoke, scattering tourists and attracting the attention of the world's media.

- Faith Malcolm Baxter

With 14 eruptions taking place over the last three months, there should be no surprise that this volcano is one of the world's most active.

Life, as many of us well know, will sometimes throw unexpected events at us. Hopefully, most are not of volcanic proportions, but nonetheless they are uninvited, inconvenient and can be incredibly impactful. Especially when they come one after the other.

In this last week, churches from all around this city and across the denominational spectrum gathered for an annual prayer event called 'Thy Kingdom Come'.
