SNOW and ice have caused major issues on the road network across North Wales for several days, with further warnings issued.

Monday’s big return to work saw many struggle as thousands took to the roads once again after the festive break.

Heavy snowfall and ice made driving conditions treacherous in Gwynedd and on Anglesey through the weekend and continuing yesterday, with roads including the A55 and mountain passes blocked by snow and a string of minor accidents.

There were further issues on roads in Conwy - including the A470 and A5.

The A470 was shut between Talycafn and Glan Conwy due to the road conditions after heavy snowfall.
