BUDGET supermarket Lidl has published a list of 43 towns and communities around Wales where it would like to open a new store, including two in and around Llanelli.
The German retailer is planning a half-a-billion-pound expansion in the UK.
It's the latest year in which the retailer has published a wish-list of locations where it is considering possible new stores. Not all of the locations will be successful, but the chain wants property agents to come forward with suggestions.
Ultimately, it hopes to open a further 40 new stores around the UK this year and is looking at locations across England, Scotland and Wales. Its wish-list for agents details all the communities where it believes there are viable possibilities for a Lidl store.
