New council chair elected to wear the chain of office

CARMARTHENSHIRE Council has a new chair for the next 12 months.

Cllr Dot Jones, member for the Llannon ward, was elected to the chain of office at Carmarthenshire Council's annual meeting at County Hall in Carmarthen.
On taking the chair, Cllr Jones paid tribute to the outgoing chair, Cllr Handel Davies, and thanked him for his service to the council.
