POLICE RAID PREMISES IN BLITZ ON MODERN SLAVERY

A SERIES of raids, visits and safeguarding operations have taken place as part of Merseyside Police's crackdown on modern slavery and sexual exploitation in the city.

The force visited three sites in relation to illegal working, which led to one arrest by immigration enforcement.

One individual was also safeguarded and referred as a potential victim of modern slavery.

In a separate operation, four premises were visited by officers following intelligence about modern slavery and sexual exploitation.
