BATTER IS REWARDED AFTER HIS 10 YEARS AT LEICESTERSHIRE
LEICESTERSHIRE’S long-serving batter Lewis Hill has been awarded a testimonial year in 2026, writes Jack Gabriel.
Hill first represented the club at Under-15 level in 2006, before making his professional debut for Leicestershire against Kent during the 2015 season.
The 34-year-old has gone on to score more than 8,000 runs for the county since, and he was club captain during the 2023 and 2024 campaigns.
His first season as captain culminated in Leicestershire lifting the Metro Bank One-Day Cup, the Foxes’ first List A trophy for 38 years, after beating Hampshire by two runs in a thrilling final at Trent Bridge.
