Prison officer finds major drug haul hidden in toilets of courthouse

A PRISON officer got more than he bargained for when he searched the toilets of a courts complex.

These photos show a large stash of drugs hidden inside a toilet brush holder at a courthouse in Chancery Street in Dublin on Wednesday.

The warder, who was carrying out a routine check before granting prisoners access, found a large quantity of tablets and other suspected drugs wrapped tightly into packages.

The alarm was raised and the drugs were taken in for further investigation.

It is not known who they were intended for.
