Dating guru gives her blessing to Tay proposal

- BY SEAN MURPHY

POP queen Taylor Swift and American football star Travis Kelce are now the poster couple for the whirlwind romance.

The loved-up pair made headlines all over the world when they announced their engagement on Tuesday, after meeting two years ago.

Now one of Ireland's top relationship experts has given the couple her blessing after their “shock” engagement.

Frances Kelleher says Taylor and Travis’s whirlwind wedding is the way to do it, giving the age-old advice about tying the knot: “when you know, you know.”

Dating coach Frances says getting married in the honeymoon period gives a great momentum.

The Killarney relationships expert believes Taylor and Travis’s whirlwind romance is beautiful.

She said: "Meeting and getting set to marry within two years is counted as a whirlwind, as you're still in the honeymoon phase. But generations before us were doing this for years and it was the norm.

"Research shows the optimum time to put a ring on it is within the first year. It’s a case of strike while the iron is hot - it's all about momentum.
