Safe standing to be installed at MKM Stadium

HULL City will install safe standing inside the MKM Stadium in preparation for next season, joining the raft of clubs who have installed the modern system in recent months.

The club will convert almost 2,700 seats inside the lower bowl to safe standing, using a well-renowned company who have worked with both Celtic and Norwich City in recent times, shelling out a substantial six-figure sum to complete the work.
Work will begin following City 's final home game of the Championship season against Derby County on Saturday week and be completed in time for the opening weekend of the new EFL campaign, which the club hopes will, of course, be in the second tier.
A total of 1,574 safe standing rails will be installed in home areas, which will see the top 12 rows (U to FF) of blocks N1 to N5 in the North Stand and E3 and E4 in the Chris Chilton East Stand, along with the northern half of NW, becoming home safe standing sections.
