Students Clash at BIT Sindri, 1 Hurt

Police Were Deployed on the Campus Late Monday and They Remained Stationed There on Tuesday
DHANBAD: A violent clash broke out late Monday night between first-year and third-year B Tech students at BIT Sindri, leading to stone pelting and injuries to three third-year students, one of whom sustained a serious head injury. The incident prompted the institute administration to advance the summer vacation for first-year students by three days in an effort to defuse tensions on campus.
The seriously injured student, a third-year Computer Science & Engineering student, is currently undergoing treatment at Shaheed Nirmal Mahto Memorial Medical College and Hospital. His condition is reported to be stable and out of danger.
