Youngsters shine on county stage

THERE were some fine performances by Gloucester Athletic Club members at the Gloucestershire Schools County Championships on Saturday.

The throwers performed well as Zach Brink won his age group in the hammer with a throw of 33.56m, while Sienna Savage-Clark claimed bronze and her younger brother, Lucas, tasted gold in their age sections with throws of 27.14m and 43.39m respectively.

William Richards-Baldwin was also in action and smashed his own club record with the shot put with a huge 14.57m and also claimed gold with the discus with a throw of 46.87m.
