Face mask plea for people visiting hospitals

Gloucester Citizen

|

December 18, 2025

THE public have been urged to wear surgical face masks when entering key assessment areas at hospitals in Gloucestershire.

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has introduced the temporary measure in response to a sharp increase in flu and other respiratory illnesses being seen across the country.

The policy, implemented at both Gloucestershire Royal Hospital (GRH) and Cheltenham General Hospital (CGH), aims to limit the spread of infection and protect patients, visitors and staff.
