Four-year ban for man caught drink driving three times
Gloucester Citizen
|July 10, 2025
A MAN who was caught drink-driving three times has been banned from getting behind the wheel.
Kennedy Kipchirchir, of Arthur Street, Gloucester, has been banned from driving for four years and has to wear an alcohol monitoring tag for 120 days.
On Saturday, May 3, Kirchirchir was reported to police by a concerned member of the public who saw him swerving across the road, narrowly avoiding hitting cones and the kerb. He was stopped by officers and breathalysed.
He was found to be over the drink drive limit and additional enquiries established that Kipchirchir did not have a valid driving licence and that the MOT had expired on his Audi.
Kipchirchir was also found to have been disqualified from driving after he was caught intoxicated behind the wheel in May 2024.
Despite this disqualification he continued to flout the laws by driving regularly.
On one occasion when he was stopped by officers, he attempted to swap seats with the passenger of his car in an attempt to avoid being arrested.
