Big dreams Louise sets her sights on world title after British success

A WOMAN who lost three limbs as a baby due to meningitis is now the strongest disabled woman in Britain and has her sights set on the world title.
Louise Greer, 28, from Gloucester, was two years old when she survived a battle with meningitis and sepsis, which resulted in the amputation of her legs, left arm and all the fingers on her right hand.
Since then, Louise's life has been about adapting and overcoming tough challenges, such as learning to walk using prosthetics.
She discovered a passion for the gym and began lifting weights 10 years ago while at university.
After dedicating three years to training, Louise clinched the title of Britain's Strongest Disabled Woman for the third year running in September.
Now working as a personal trainer at Pure Gym in Gloucester's Eastern Avenue, Louise is advocating for more people with disabilities to take up weightlifting in order to challenge stigmas.
In November, she hopes to compete in the World's Strongest Disabled Woman championship in Texas, US, having qualified for the event.
Louise shared: "I didn't start in the gym with big goals or experience. I started as the person who didn't have a clue what to do.
