A CITY school has delivered Christmas hampers to families across its community thanks to a partnership with a group helping children ease into secondary education.

Isca Academy worked with The Big Step, which runs a transition programme in the summer designed to help children going from year six to seven to move confidently from primary to secondary school. Delivered by teachers, the programme combines fun, curiosity-led learning with a strong focus on literacy and numeracy, ensuring pupils arrive at secondary school excited, supported and ready to succeed.
