'It's frankly heart-breaking' - coroner's heartfelt words at inquest into tragic death of actress

ACTRESS Samantha Davis, from Louth, who was the late wife of Star Wars and Harry Potter actor Warwick Davis, died as a result of a cardiac arrest following complications of essential surgery in hospital, it was ruled at an inquest.

Coroner, Professor Fiona Wilcox told how the 53-year-old died on March 24, last year at University College Hospital, London.

She said: "I have found nothing but excellent care being delivered to this lady and all of her complications were appropriately managed.

"It is frankly heart-breaking that the surgery itself was successful, only for complications to arise and to cause her death."

In February, Warwick paid tribute to his wife when he received his Lifetime Achievement Award at the BAFTA awards and dedicated it to her.
