Good Samaritan came to the aid of officers being assaulted

POLICE are “grateful” for the help of a passerby after two officers were assaulted and injured after an attack in an alleyway.

Swadlincote Police's Safer Neighbourhood Team has launched an appeal following the incident, which saw a man assist the officers at around 5pm on Saturday, November 29, in the alleyway near Swadlincote Library.
