PIKETBERG COUPLE MARRIES AFTER 40 YEARS OF SPEENING

A COUPLE from Piketberg is defying societal norms after tying the knot at the ripe old age of 69 and 71, after speening for 40 years.

Newlyweds Susana Voster, 69 and her husband Jacobus Voster, 71, finally said 'I do' during the month of love on 12 February 2026, four decades after first getting bymekaar.

Susana, also known in the community as Sanna, said that it was always her dream to get married, but Koos was the holdup, as he never wanted to pop the question.

Sanna explained: “We met 40 years ago on a plaas and have been together ever since. I wanted to get married a long time ago, but it was Koos who decided now that he wanted to get married at this age.
