IMPAIRE ET PASSE suffered a first career defeat as Teahupoo repeated his victory of 12 months earlier in the Grade One Hatton's Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse.

The result prompted William Hill to shorten Champion Hurdler Constitution Hill's odds from 4-9 to 2-5 for his title defence at Cheltenham in March, while Impaire Et Passe, twice a winner at the top level as a novice last season, is now 6-1 (from 4-1) with the Leeds firm.
