SIR Keir Starmer urged Peter Mandelson to quit the House of Lords last night after files suggested he shared Government emails with Jeffrey Epstein.

The PM has asked Cabinet Secretary Sir Chris Wormald to "urgently" investigate his contact with the paedophile financier while he was a Government minister.

In an email exchange from 2009, Lord Mandelson, then the business secretary, appeared to tell Epstein he would lobby ministers over a tax on bankers’ bonuses.
