UNAI EMERY is determined to avoid Aston Villa being a Champions League one-season wonder - and is seeking a lasting legacy.
Villa head into tonight's last-16 second leg against Club Brugge at Villa Park in the driving seat after last week's 3-1 win in Belgium.
The last time they reached the quarter-finals was 1983 when they lost to Juventus the season after they were crowned European Cup winners.
Villa were, however, unable to stay among the elite back then and were even relegated in 1987 before bouncing back at the first attempt.
