Juric's plot will require perfection

But as the Southampton manager said: “When you play against Liverpool, sometimes it’s the way you want to die.

“If you do some things, they will find another way to beat you. If you are low block, they will find a way to beat you.

“I think we have to be perfect in both things. Sometimes press, sometimes low block. We have to play well.”

The match is a meeting of sides lying 13 points adrift of safety at the bottom of the table and 13 clear at the top.

The Saints are on just nine points, having lost all but five of their 27 games in a miserable campaign.

“It’s never ‘mission impossible’,” said Juric. “We will try to do our best and we will see.
