At last, common sense from the government. Foreign aid has to be cut and given to the armed forces. National security must come above all else. All the do gooders will be up in arms but the the world is in a very dangerous place. Look after your own first and foremost! Cumbrian Kev

It's all very well for the government to increase spending on defence, but any young British person prepared to risk their precious life, that had been given to them by their parents, as cannon fodder in a future war, for the evil, bullying, cowardly, endemically corrupt and oppressively politically correct British Establishment would, frankly, have to be insane.
