Unlike Amorim, Slot (below) has lots of credit in the bank. And unlike Amorim, Slot and his team will be right in the thick of the title race this season.

So how come it feels like there is more pressure on Slot than his opposite number at Anfield this afternoon?

Losing to Manchester United at home is simply not acceptable for any Liverpool boss.

But losing to this current United side would be bordering on unforgivable.

No United team has won at Anfield since 2016.

Since then, we've had six different Prime Ministers, one pandemic and peace has broken out in the Middle East.

Which means all hell will break loose on Merseyside today if Liverpool don't get back to winnings ways at the expense of a club they love to hate the most.
