Alexandros not one for big words but tips Hearts challenge

FREEDOM of expression has been a byword for Alexandros Kyziridis with his feet doing the talking since his summer arrival at Hearts.

But while the Greek winger didn't quite clam up when asked if a title bid could be on the cards this term, there was a sidestep and double shuffle over their credentials and an attempt not to say too much.

Minutes after the Jambos had come from behind for the third successive league match to claim points which send them into the international break only behind Celtic on goal difference, the 24-year-old was pressed on whether finishing first or second could be a realistic ambition.

He said: "You choose. I don't like to say big words but we will try to be at the top of the league. Yes, but I don't like to say big words.

"We will try and we will see in the end. If you ask me, I would say of course we can.

"But, as I said, I don't like to say big words. We have a really strong team, really good players. All the players are amazing - as guys, first of all, and then as football players.

"We will try to give the best in every game and at the end of the season we will see what we achieve." What isn't in doubt is that something is stirring at the club after Kyziridis netted in injury time to snatch three points at Livingston.
