Time to get tough on puppy bandits

FEW things tear at the heartstrings like puppies.

The tiny furballs are fawned over by many in the same way they would their own babies.

That's why the mistreatment of pups causes such an outpouring of anger and revulsion.

Outrage at the cruelty of puppy farm trading - which resulted in more than 100 investigations last year - is only amplified by the huge sums that are being made by those targeting communities up and down Scotland.
