Scots student Jasmine is Bake Off champ and host Paul says she's 'best winner for a while'

SCOTS medical student Jasmine Mitchell was crowned The Great British Bake Off 2025 champion.

The 23-year-old, from Edinburgh, was labelled the "best winner we've seen for a while" by judge Paul Hollywood, 59, after she beat Tom and Aaron in a final which saw the trio all tasked with making the largest cake in Bake Off history.

Jasmine - who lives in London - learned the basics of bread and cakes through her mum and aunts.

And she has fond memories of baking for big family gettogethers in the Scottish Highlands.

After signature and technical challenges, Jasmine's showstopper was a 1.2 metre creation she described as a "summer celebration cake".
