Olsen reveals Ibrox icon's role in sealing his dream transfer

- BY FRASER WILSON

ANDREAS SKOV OLSEN swept in to a hero's welcome at Ibrox - after being sold on the switch by Gers icon Brian Laudrup.

The 40-times capped Denmark international finalised his bumper loan move from Wolfsburg that includes an option to buy worth around £8million ahead of Rangers' Scottish Cup win over Annan.

Skov Olsen is already eyeing silverware with Danny Rohl's side, where he will link up with former Nordsjaelland team-mates Oliver Antman, Tochi Chukwuani and Mohamed Diomande.

And after being given a rapturous welcome when he was introduced to the Gers faithful at half-time, the winger told how ninein-a-row legend Laudrup told him he had the best time of his life in Govan.

He said: "I'm very excited and very happy it's finally done. I can't wait to meet all the guys and the fans and the rest of the club.

"I spoke to [Vaclav] Cerny in the summer, to [John] Brown, to Brian Laudrup.

"I spoke to Antman, I spoke to a lot of people and they all only had good things to say about this club.
