TAKEOVER TO 'EXTINGUISH THE ROT' - AJ
Daily Record
|June 04, 2025
DEPARTING director Alastair Johnston believes the Rangers takeover will “extinguish the rot” which lingered since Craig Whyte’ ill-fated spell.
Johnston was ousted from his post as chairman when Whyte pitched up at Ibrox in 2011.
Having returned to the board as a non-executive director in 2017 when South Africa-based Dave King was chairman, he is standing down with a new-look board taking shape after healthcare tycoon Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises arrived.
