Pure dead brilliant

Host Elaine C Smith praises Scotland's unsung heroes who bring a light into our dark, troubled world, as celebs panel settles on winners for this year's People's Oscars

"PURE dead brilliant" - the words of the judges to describe the shortlisted finalists for our People's Oscars.

The panel, which included comedy legends, a Love Island-er, a newsreader and an Olympian, met to choose our 2025 Pride of Scotland champions. It took three hours for basketball hero Kieron Achara, reality star Paige Turley, newsreader Kelly Ann Woodland, and hosts Elaine C Smith and Sanjeev Kohli-to narrow down the field.
