All eyes will be on the January arrivals in Celtic's tie with Dee

IT'S a shame you couldn't place any bets on Celtic sealing deals in the dying seconds of the transfer window as it would have been the easiest path to profit all season.

Deadline day was more like Groundhog Day for Hoops fans as they glanced at their phones every few minutes in the hope a new player would be announced.

They went through the same ordeal in the summer and were far from impressed as only Sebastian Tounekti arrived on the final day before the club sealed a deal for free agent Kelechi Iheanacho after the window had shut.

This time they managed to get three new boys through the door as the clock clicked down, then waited another couple of days before trying to snap up another former Premier League star on a free.

That took the total of January arrivals to five, although plenty of punters are far from happy as the club failed to pay a single penny on fees while sitting on £70million.
