Rohl and his charges could have been up against Dundee F***ing Violet last Sunday and they’d still have been well within their rights to be pleased with their day’s work

- BARRY FERGUSON

RANGERS bared some teeth at last up at Dens Park five days ago and we also got our first Rohl Roar demonstration.

And I have to say, I've got no problem at all with the way the manager responded to his side's win over Dundee.

For the first 45 minutes especially, it was about as good a display as we've seen from this team and there is no doubt they deserved their 3-0 victory.

OK, things may have dipped a little in the second half but it's still early days under Danny Rohl.

As he’s said himself, there are plenty of improvements to be made.

But his team fully merited their result and earned the right to enjoy it.

And that's what Rohl did too.

By no means did he go over the score at full-time.

He walked over to the away end, gave them a couple of fist pumps, a wave, then he was off down the tunnel.

I've seen some grumpy folk having a pop at the German for those celebrations and saying they were over the top. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but, for me, that's nonsense.

When I was a player - and it was the same last season when I had my short stint in charge of the team - I always insisted on enjoying a win, no matter who it was against.

Rohl and his side could have been up against Dundee F***ing Violet last Sunday and they would still have been well within their rights to be pleased with their afternoon's work.

Yeah, it was a routine win over a team at the bottom end of the table.
