Being back in top flight with his Bairns is keeping goalden Graham young

- GORDON PARKS

BRIAN GRAHAM insists his bid to cheat Father Time is driving his ambitions to prolong his Premiership career at Falkirk.

The Bairns hitman will turn 38 in a fortnight and he's out to prove age is no barrier after getting his name on the scoresheet against Livingston.

After conceding a last-minute leveller, the sense of disappointment at two points dropped did little to burst the bubble of a player aiming to milk every moment.

He said: “It’s been a whirlwind, the way it all ended at the tail end of the season at Partick Thistle.

“I always wanted to give myself another chance in the Premiership.

“I got my goal against St Mirren [in September]. I didn’t really get to celebrate because it was 2-1 and we had to get the ball and try to go again.

“But to go and put my team 1-0 in front, it was a great feeling with family in the crowd. I just wish wed managed to hold on. That's me maybe being a wee bit selfish there.

“Football has changed and the way I'm training and the way I'm feeling right now, I want to keep going. I thought maybe in the summer, ‘One more year and then Id probably retire.
