RONAN HALE was the County hero as he netted a controversial last-gasp penalty to salvage a dramatic draw.

Dundee had taken the lead in the second half through sub Scott Tiffoney and seemed on course to secure their top-tier status.

But deep in injury-time, home hearts were broken as referee Nick Walsh stunned everyone by deeming a ball that was headed on to Antonio Portales’ arm in the box by Ryan Astley was a penalty.

Itwas backed by VAR - with Hale making no mistake with the resulting spot kick.

With just two points still separating the sides, it will now go right down to the wire to determine who will be in the relegation play-off.
