Laura, 29, tells of agony as she appeals for help

- BY FIONNUALA BOYLE

A YOUNG mum has made a desperate plea for an organ donor to end her agony.

Laura Hayman, 29, was diagnosed with kidney failure in 2017 after weeks of feeling unwell.

She was immediately started on dialysis to remove toxins from her body as a result of her condition before she received a transplant from her dad, Paul, later that same year.

The operation was a success but when Laura, from Motherwell, fell pregnant with her little boy Hugo three years later, her transplant organ began to fail.

By 2023, the mum of one was back on dialysis and has been hooked up to a machine to keep her alive for five days a week ever since.

Without it, she will die within days.

Laura needs a new donor fast but her rare type O+ blood has made finding a match difficult.

Her doctors are now supporting her in a public plea to give her the best chance of survival.
