Motorsport icon's kid gutted after rally smash

THE DAUGHTER of motorsport legend Colin McRae was forced to retire from her racing debut after she crashed.

Hollie McRae, 26, was at the wheel in the Mini Challenge at the RAC Rally in Kielder Forest, Northumberland, when the car rolled on to its roof.

Her co-driver was her boyfriend Jon Armstrong, who is a European rally championship driver.

Both racers escaped unhurt after retiring from the race on Saturday.
