BEN LOOKING TO END ROAD TO RUIN NOW

BEN EARL starred in England's crushing win over Wales then addressed the elephant in the room - their Murrayfield hoodoo.

- ADAM HATHAWAY AT TWICKENHAM

Steve Borthwick's side head to Scotland on Saturday as firm favourites but anyone putting their house on them to win should tread carefully.

No.8 Earl made his Test debut in Edinburgh, in the teeth of Storm Ciara, the last time England won there - a desperate 13-6 victory in 2020.

Since then, they have beaten them once - an edgy 16-15 win in London last year - and have lost 20-17 in 2022 then 30-21 in 2024 in Edinburgh.

England achieved the expected at Twickenham as Henry Arundell's hat-trick put them 29-0 up at halftime. They eased off but Wales were woeful.

All the talk of winning a first Six Nations title for six years will be hot air, though, if they do not do the job at the weekend, before which they will examine past slip-ups.
