After win over Auld Enemy, Scots ace Brown says: We hope to rip it into Wales this week

- STUART BATHGATE

CALCUTTA UP

GREGOR BROWN reckons Scotland need to prove their win against England was no flash in the pan - by doing the same against Wales on Saturday in Cardiff.

The Glasgow forward played the full 80 minutes at Murrayfield three days ago as his team beat the Auld Enemy 31-20.

It was a brilliant performance by Scotland, who bounced back in style from their 18-15 loss to Italy a week earlier. And Brown, 24, thinks his team can keep on improving as they aim to mount a challenge for the Six Nations title.

He said: “We knew Rome wasn't a true reflection of ourselves and that we were better than that.

“We knew we had way more in the tank and we wanted to play a different kind of game.

“And so it was really great to put that into play against England. It was awesome.
