Rodgers says he has no regrets over motor jibe as he bids to jump start Celts' campaign
BRENDAN RODGERS insists he has no regrets about comparing his squad to a Honda Civic and his focus is on getting Celtic motoring in Europe.
The Hoops manager is not concerned about any dressing-room backfire following his line after Sunday's dismal 2-0 defeat to Dundee at Dens.
Rodgers shrugged off the furore that followed him saying you can't be given the keys to a Honda Civic and expect to drive it like a Ferrari.
But he is determined to get up and running in the Europa League against Sturm Graz tonight on matchday three.
Rodgers said: "Listen, it's something that I said at the time and I said it because I felt it, so I've got no regret now.
"I don't know (about the reaction) because I haven't seen or read or heard anything. But it was based around the speed in our team.
"Clearly it's not the same as what we had last season.
"I'm pretty sure both of those cars have got a different speed, so that was the reference to that.
"I'm not really worried, to be honest.
