With fares like these, it's no wonder people shun the buses and trains
Daily Post

I HAVE to confess, it's years since I travelled by bus, and if I did choose to do so, I’m eligible for a bus pass which would enable me to travel free lof charge.
That's probably why I was flabbergasted when a family member told me they'd paid £4.20 to travel approximately two miles on an Arriva bus.
It's no wonder the Welsh Government's ploys to try to get us to abandon our vehicles in favour of public transport, have so far resulted in very limited success.
As my relative pointed out, a taxi for two passengers each paying their share of the fare would have cost less than the bus and would have provided a door to door service in a much shorter time period.

In my opinion, the Cardiff based powers that be, are putting the proverbial cart before the horse in trying to encourage us to use an outdated and over priced public transport system which needs a drastic overhaul in order to be fit for purpose.
