It’s just not good enough, and yet the Welsh Government seems unable to do anything meaningful to change the situation.

What am I talking about it? You might have guessed, yet again I’m writing about the dire state of the NHS in Wales.

‘All too often these days we're hearing horror stories of patients suffering because of inadequate services.

I've been horrified by recent news stories detailing people who have died in hospital corridors while waiting to be admitted to a ward.

Recently I witnessed at first hand, the discomfort and trauma experienced by patients sitting for days on chairs in a hospital corridor while waiting for a bed. Some of them were on drips, others were wearing oxygen masks, and others were begging staff for pain relief.

‘The staff were obviously very stressed, and the situation was one I never thought I'd see in a country which once boasted one of the finest health care systems in the world.
